Send me a PM with your contact info and will put you on the mailing list.

This weekend I will be making up 6 controllers and hopefully sending them out to the BETA (for you Ed) testers.

Once the rest of the people who already paid agree to ship the remaining I will be taking orders for the second run.

I will keep every one informed.

I sent an email to the 6 beta testers. If you think you should have recieved it and did not, please send me an email or pm. The first beta unit will be sent monday to paul champagne. The rest at the end of the week. Once they have them we will start a new thread about how it goes and when the rest of you who paid want me to ship the rest.

Thanks,

Rog, Ya see post 71. 6 freakin weeks. There was a problem with the overload detection so that the controller was causing it to think the motors were overloaded all the time. That particular chip is NLA and failure mode was one reason why, go figure. None the less I sourced a different chip redid the PCB and am sending out six to beta testers that have already paid for the controllers. They are going to start another thread when they have had them installed.

I received my kit. I hope to have it installed this weekend. Will post results when i get it installed. My install will be a little more complicated as it will also be incorporated with an aftermarket alarm system, so i may not have results till next weekend though. Will take lots of pics.

I have shipped one to Hans and one to Paul Champagne.

There are 4 more that will ship early January and once those six are happy, the remaining ones that paid will ship.

At that time I will determine if there will be a second run.

I am one of the beta-testers for the window module. First off, I want to thank Rod for all his hard work, and excellent level of service. The module plugged right in, and was working with the factory switches within a matter of minutes. The new control pad also works very well, but i have not permanently mounted it yet. The express all-down feature is very nice, and the new version of the software has the ability to learn your window motors load profile to account for worn motors. It is very simple to calibrate, just press and hold both window up buttons while putting the car into accessory. In my case, the performance of the controller increased dramatically after the 5-second calibration, so recommend to future users that be the first thing you do. There is a notable increase in speed for window movement. The control allows for express up and down of each individual window and the sunroof, and is very easy to operate. Pressing the opposite direction button will stop the window when it is opening/closing in express mode.

I am installing a relatively elaborate alarm system in my car, so spoke with Rod about customizing my module for better control of the alarm. Rod made a special program for me, according to my specifications. After trying to interface the alarm with the module, we quickly found that the feature set i requested was incorrect for my install, so he is in the process of burning me a new micro with a revised program. Rod has been available by phone and email throughout every step of the installation with the alarm, and helped us troubleshoot the problems we were having. The service has been top-notch, and i am very happy with the product. Again, if you have no intention of interfacing with an alarm or remote start, the module can be installed literally in a matter of 15 minutes or so. It is completely plug and play, and most of the install time is taking apart the console for access.

Keep up the great work Rod,
Hans

I was just wondering what the status of this project was. With the weather threatening to get warm, it sure would be nice to be able to open my passenger side window this year

OK. I'm ordering new switches so I can use my windows. It's been almost a year since I've been able to open my pass. side window, and the weather's getting warmer. When this controller becomes a reality I'll have that option as well.
