For the others who are getting these, I"m thinking of going with hit drivers window/sunroof for express open/close all. Rod has hit both windows as the default for this. I figure I might want to open both windows but now the sunroof. The only downside I can potentially think of is accidently hitting the sunroof button when opening the drivers window, but that's never happened to me so far.

I'm also going with one touch open and close whenever I hit the sunroof. can't see why I wouldn't want it all the way open or closed. Again, only downise is if you accidently hit it, you open it all the way. I've so far never accidently done that either.

THoughts? THis last one is sounding a bit absurd now that I've written it down, holding it for .5 seconds isn't a big deal.

Rod,
I noticed that you've also fixed Porsche's Faux Pas with the rear wiper "on" direction in the wrong place - GOOD JOB! much improved.

Rod,

I sent you an email response with my order form and info. Maybe you can clear up those couple questions I had here just in case others are wondering also. VERY COOL PRODUCT!!

Keep us in the loop on status.

Thanks!

John,

Sure. The features will work with all car up to 90 (I think) when they got there own controller. The express close with the key will work with all except the ones with vacuum (sorry sharkskin, but I am trying to come up with a solution)

The extra button is to shut off the wiper when you select intermittant or always on

The unit is completely plug and play for all features except the close with key. For that you will need to connect 2 wires. One for constant power and one for the signal from the lock switch. They should just require simple push on type connections (My intention is the ability to go back to stock without knowing it was ever installed).

You are not required to hook up that feature if you feel that it is beyond your abilities but I am hoping to be able to provide instructions that would make it very easy to do. It is also a good excuse to get together and have a little tech session and (of course)

Thanks,

Now is the time to let me know if you want one of these. There are those who are on the mailing list that have been sent update notices and I have recieved notices that cheques are in the mail (and even have some by paypal already).

I will be holding off purchasing components until June 19 after which time I will not be able to make any more at the $156 price. It would have to wait until there was enough interest to run another batch of them. The price will be closer to $200 for another order.

If you want more information, PM me with an email address and I will get back to you or look at the previous thread . Just search for 'window controller'

Thanks,

Sterling, The 90 has a window controller of it's own, from what I have gathered. It has different functions. I have not looked into wether it could be replaced or not. Once I run this first batch I will delve into it further.

Actually I didn't get an email either. I am waiting to send a check; I have already submitted my "Chinese menu". Just need to know how much I owe!

I e-mailed and PM'd you too. Do you have pics of the final installed matte black switch plate? I think mounted slightly below the center console would look the best.

Sterling,
If you have a delay of any time between windows going down in sequence you have a broken window controller.. There is a sensor that determines when the windows reach the top or bottom - yours doesn't work.

Randy had a spare recently.. not sure if it got snapped up.

It will do express up on driver side only... Rod's gives you everything you want for probably not much more $
