Great work.
Any chance of getting some time with the SharkTuner and the dyno with my car? I was going to buy from John the EPROM Cameron already tuned and evaluate its applicability to other boosted cars (mine) for John. Using the ST and dyno time would be the way to do that, I believe.

OK, I don't even have an LH car, so my guess is so damb simple that you will all laught at it. But.... I say that you had a loose fuel pump connection and by getting the car in that certain position, it cut power to the fuel pump
When you leanted over to wave your hand over the unit, your wt, made the wire make contact and the system came back on. What flavor of beer do you like? I'll mail it... - Ruf

Exactly so. Most interesting is that the source is an 8-story receiver/transmitter tower just a block away from Devek's shop. Drive out of the shop door, look left and there it is showering you (and the unshielded LH) with all sorts of RF. The slow circuits around the parking lot would also bring us to approximately this same location once a lap and the LH would die. Odd that the other 928's didn't experience this problem; maybe the 410 had High-E glass. I guess the moral of the story is that the metal cover is more than just a rugged enclosure!
And now for one of those 2XX beers (I'm a wimp)!

Interesting! Why would one LH be more susceptible to RF interference than another? Maybe we should all add another layer of shielding to our LHs and EZKs. Any thoughts as to what material would work best?
Also, why would the car restart after 1/2 hour? The radio frequency transmitter was still transmitting, right?

Where the heck are you? You're supposed to be running the dyno! Speaking of which, do you know where the manual and my 19mm Stahlwille are? How'd you get that wrench through customs? BTW, just the other day I was able to reset the admin password on the dyno computer so that I can actually have full access to it. Jeez!
Marcia is progressing, but walking is still difficult and her left arm is mostly paralyzed. In spite of all the lame medical treatment she has had and the recommendations to turn her hand into a paperweight, I am determined to restore at least some function to her hand even if I have to culture the stem cells and inject them into her brain myself. This has been an unbelievably difficult and sad year for us both.
Marcia says hi and wonders what you are doing. Are you coming to Devek days this summer?
Best regards,

Hi Swaybar,
Thanks. She can use all the well wishes she can get and then some. Recovering from a stroke is a very tough business.

Do you have a guess-timate on the rwhp gain for the mentioned combo which puts out 320 rwhp (..headers, Ott-X, dual Magnaflows, rising rate fuel pressure >regulator, cowl-induction).
I don't know the B1 specs, but they would probably work for your application, although without induction system you may not realize much gain. Marc Thomas is the best person to talk with.
>Does anyone have a before and after dyno-sheet showing the power curve of the B1's?
Again Marc will have the answers.
>Tom, I hope your wife is well on her way to recovery.

You were just nosed out by Thaddeus, but you can buy me a beer too!
I suppose about 20 lbs of plastique would remove/relocate the offending source, but just keeping the cover on the LH keep me a free man longer!

Anytime you like. Shortly we should have our very own official Shark Tuner with more mixture tuning capabilities and the timing adjustment addition as well.
Thanks for the Sharks in the Park this year.

It shouldn't be necessary to add more shielding. I'm sure Porsche got that right. We just need to be sure to keep them in place!
No idea why the car would restart later. With enough time I'm sure it could come to light!

Somewhat related:
Driving a rental Ford Escape in sunny North Carolina, pulled up to the remote/outside security post at a power plant, turned off the motor and grabbed the intercom phone handset to call the control room. Remote gate opens, but the car won't start. Lights flashing, three tries and the horn is honking. Get that silenced with the little remore on the keychain. Try again, same thing. Call the rental car company service line to see how to reset the theft prevention feature. Thay don't have a cluse. It's raining. The control room crew sends out a golf cart and a driver who tells me it really is OK to drive in now that the gate has been open for 20 mins. Finally, I get a flash of brilliance, push the car bactwards about 10ft, jump in and start it right up. Problem? They have a key-card reader, and the RF field from the reader was de-sensing the key-code reader in the ignition lock. Get the car out of the search field, and it starts up just fine. Whoooda thunk it?
Good catch on your diagnosis Tom!

With a ST for the LH and EZK...you should be able to get some nice gains out of your setup....especially if you put the intercooler on!!
