The way he drives, I would expect him in about 3 hours, have a beer ready.

I have been at the Best Western Since Wednesday evening. Seen two others, one from NY and a fellow diamond blue metalic from FL, expecting more soon. Front desk said "sharks" had reserved over 80 of the 100 rooms at the hotel, and they were still turning down shelterless shark owners as of yesterday. Shoudl be a good turnout.

I may not make it to SITM. The nice folks at Best Western said since I couldn't make it up tomorrow night I couldn't stay just Saturday night. I had no choice but to cancel my reservations. Is there anyplace nearby that I might be able to stay?

 

After talking trash about Gretch not bringing his car due to a maintenance issue, my car will not be making it...












Unlike that French-Canadian sissy I will still be making the trip.

I did a bad thing....

Tried to get a last-minute room, and was turned away by BW. Should have read down the list here some and made a deal for Walt's room, or another that might have come up. Forecast was for thundershowers 80% today, a little less tomorrow. Driving a rental Trailblazer, no 928 with me. So I went east instead of west from Salisbury this morning, caught the pre-breakfast flight out of Raleigh back to SoCal. It's going to hurt me if the weather turns out great and there was a room opportunity here that I overlooked. ;(

I'm back home now, and will probably go out and check the ATF level or something. Send lots of pictures!

Tim Murphy, DR & TTJohn are probably doing burnout contests, drag races and spinning donuts in the parking lot keeping everyone busy.

 

All is well at Grandfather Mountain...despite the myriad of bumps and encounters with speedcops (including yours truly, and three others JUST THIS MORNING on the way up to the gathering).

LOT'S of blowers! I don't know the count - but suffice it to say we are OVER 100 sharks. Weather is great...a bit cloudy, cool and windy this morning...but currently a light breeze and mostly sunny skies. AND - SHARK NIRVANA!

I am sure many will start posting pics later today. We're about to have the announcements/drawings/etc.
