Yeah, ditto Michael! Louie , these new pics cleared up alot of worries for me about the stance of the car. It is awsome. Will I still be able to use my rear side markers? And are the vents on all the remaining flares in stock? I don't know if I will need those or not-but they look cool. Are you happy with the way the car turned out? Thanks, Kevin

I can probably answer that one....

No - no cutout for side markers. You can cut them in if you want. Same for the side vents.

I was ditching side markers anyways - 4 less bulbs. Plus my car is getting a total repaint so I can be slightly more careless with the install.

Thanks Adam, I think it would look even more stock with the markers.

Here are some more pics of the air intake. Please excuse the layer of dust & dirt as I didn't take time to prepare it for display. Kevin wanted to know about side markers. Cut a hole and put them in. You could use small high intensity LEDs for marker lights too if you want rather than the large stock ones with the difficult to replace bulbs. I should have removed my front ones too. I see no advantage to have the marker lights except a Shark with the driving lights (and front markers) on looks very wide and intimitating in the rear view mirror.

The side air vent is not molded in the fenders. You can cut one in one side or both sides. Many people like the look and want them on both sides. Some don't. If I know someone wants to put in air intakes, I have the fender made thicker in that area. Otherwise, I'd add two or three layers of cloth/resin to strenghten it around the opening. They are incredibly strong once bonded to the car body. There is a pic of the air intake opening and another similar one using a flash so you can see inside. A duct leads up and over the top of the wheel well to the rear into a plenum which feeds the engine oil cooler. The PSD is back there too. There is plenty of vertical room for the air duct. The engine oil cooler is near the rear muffler void. I have yet to make an outlet duct exiting where the exhaust normally comes out. There is another air inlet at the rear of the right rear fender to catch air for the tranny oil cooler that is inside the rear bumper channel. Another shot shows the engine that I finally got back in its space. All these mods are experimental and I don't know if any will work. The engine install isn't done yet and I need to make an air box over the intakes and duct work to an air filter in front of the radiator. One goal of this rebuild was to simplify the engine compartment of all unnessary wires and hoses, make engine maintenance easier, as well as move weight to the rear even though doing so would likely increase overall weight. Let me know if more info or pics needed.

My God - my nipples are actually hard.

Louie, I am so excited to see this engine progressing. I have this dream to drop a 928 motor into a Cobra kit car - that engine is perfect!!
