Darien,
Did you use the stock lug nuts or did you need longer ones or open ended ones after taking the rear spacers off?

If you could break sets there are the 10's @ 65 et and the 11's @ 45 et. That would enable some meaty tires at both ends.

Warren,

With spacers off, stock lugs are plenty long...

I might have to try to photoshop those onto my car! I don't think they would come off as well on my Hellebronze though, the contrast is part of what makes it work so well...and no d##N side mouldings..nice...

Wow! Nice What a beut. And potent performance to match the looks. So fresh, so clean.
I am a little confused about tire sizeing. I am running 245/50/16 front and rear on my car. The 50 is the width. I always thought that the larger the number the wider the tire. But reading through this thread I am getting the impression that I have it backwards. Can anyone comfirm?

I used to think the same thing. 245 is the width and 50 is the profile (i.e., height of the rubber from the rim)

If anybody goes for those 18's on eBay at $595 a set, let us know how they are. Things that sound too good to be true usually are.

What does?

One thing to watch with these Chinese wheels is the weight. I've seen some nearly 40lbs each.

First number is tread width (or somehwere close to it) the second number is the ratio of the sidewall to the tread width. A 245/50 has somewhere around a 122.5mm sidewall (from the bottom of the bead to the top of the tread. A 245/30 is around 73.5mm. A 295/30 is around 88.5mm. They're rough numbers that manufacturers vary widely between brands and models.

On the Tire-Rack site and some manufacturers, they give the tire-width and
tread width on specified rim width. That helps with clearance estimation on each brand tire.
Main thing is rolling diameter.
Not sure how much front/rear diameter stagger the ABS system will tolerate.

Wish I can trust their tire weights on TireRack's site. Them Pirellis are 2-3lbs lighter than other makers.
