Congrats from fellow Chemical Engineer in Denmark - now you can make 80% something/tonic too. Actually I never used my degree, allways loved music so ended up as producer/composer .

Viribus... way to go. A newly minted ChemE.

Congrats.

One nice thing about west TX... open roads; and ORR.

G'luck.

Congrats! I'll know how it feels to have a degree in 2 weeks, but I'm sure it's awesome. And double-congrats on the job - sounds like your all set!

Way to go!

Well done!
I am relieved to hear that this latest success has not altered your sense of correct priorities

VB-
Congratulations on your degree AND your job! Small towns have 928s, too. I was driving through Sealy, Texas last year and glanced over into a parking lot and was astounded to see a 928. You just never know.

Congrats!!

Heading out to Midland/Odessa today myself on Business. Spent the best 6yrs of my life at Texas Tech (right up the road from Midland) in Lubbock, home of Bobby Knight. Not much out in West Texas once you get past the loop in Lubbock. People are extremely nice out there, you'll enjoy that! We are now in the season when the dust storms hit thunderstorms and it rains mud. Damnest thing you'll ever see! Good luck keeping the shark clean!

Again, congrats!!

soontobered928, was the 928 red, sitting in a gas station parking lot, looking alought like an S4 car? If so, there are very good odds that it was mine. I've spent alought of time in Sealy.

Oh well, one problem at a time.

I've lived in both cities. They say you go to Midland to raise a family and Odessa to raise hell. Twenty miles apart on a very fast stretch of highway. They ought to be bringing all sorts of long dormant wellfields back on line with a lot of renewed production drilling. Good luck.

I have extended family in Sealy. I don't remember the color but it was right off the highway to Bellville. What was keeping you close to Sealy?

My grandparants live in the area. Sealy was also a cross road to my house, my parants house, and my wifes parant's house at the time.

That would be HW 36. I know the area well.

I grew up in West Texas. My father was a mechanical engineer that did design work for chemical plants. Even though West Texas is as big as most other states there aren't too many places that employ ChemEs. You wouldn't be going to work for "Smell My Knees" would you? Or in the vicinity?

H2S meter, check. (bad joke)

I've got a beater Ford Ranger. That's how I made it through the end of college. Not quite up there with the big boys, and the F150s, or 350s, but good enough, it's got primer on the fender, and country music stations on the radio buttens.

What would "Smell My Knees" be?
