Bought the Fuzions to replace my old Dunlop D40M2's after I saw them recommended here. I've had them for approx. 10K and love em. They have great grip, are quiet, and cheap.
Guys - I've been running Brigestone S-02 PP's & more recently S-03 PP's in factory sizes and have liked them a lot - not particularly quiet, wear quite quickly the way I drive - but both have really great grip dry or wet... Night and day different than the (partly worn) Continental Contisport-Contact stock tires
I'm now looking for a full set all-round and am considering either more S03's or Dunlop SP Sport Maxx or Michielin Pilot Sport PS2's
The Dunlops are relatively newer - seem to get better dry traction ratings and possibly better treadwear/noise ratings - always hard to know on tire reviews - it is farily subjective at best. Anyone running the Dunlop SP Sport Maxx - any comparisons to what you had before?
I will need to decide soon...
I'm also considering a smartire pressure monitoring system (since all the tires will be off anyway)

Anyone install one or an alternate system...?

Alan,
Don't know anything about the monitoring system, however I will say that I found the PS2's to be far superior in every aspect over the S02's and S03's I have driven on. They are quieter, better wet and dry traction, heat up faster, and give the car a less harsh ride over the other tires.
As best I can determine, the Bridgestone S-O2 and S-O3 are no longer available (except in some OEM fitments) and have both been replaced by the RE050A Pole Position.
I'm having a set mounted right now, but haven't had them on the car yet. Reportedly, they are just a tick behind the PS2's in the dry and better in the wet. Of course, they don't make the PS2's in 16" so the Michelins weren't an option....
Only got 19,000 mi out of the S-O3's & the right rear was down to cord.
Alan - if your looking for tires PM me - I know this cat who is the manager of advance Goodyear in Awhatukee - he got me my toyos for less than 5 bills out the door mounted and balanced.
I have the well known "Oshto" on mine....I have never-ever heard of those before, or even seen them for sale......they seem okay, since I don't have anything to compare them too!! I'm leaning towards fuzions or Yoko ES100's for my next set!
James - the S-03's are still available (tirerack) at least for 17" 255/225 GTS stock sizes - I think you are right that the S-02s have been gone a while. I actually thought the S-02's gripped better dry.. but it may have just been the dramatic contrast to the Continentals...
Wear was certainly high... very consumable.. I did not even get 19K on mine!
Tire rack reviews suggest the Dunlops may have an edge in wear and noise over the Michelins (both are better on both these and grip than S-03's and quite a bit cheaper... )
The Michelins seem to harve marginally the best dry grip...
All this - IF - you believe this particular set of reviews...

The S03's have both a different tread and rubber compound than the S02's.
The S02A's have the same tread as the S03's but use the rubber compund from the S02's. I found that when I autocrossed the turbo on the S02's they had marginal grip at best. The PS2's were much better perfomer although I did go from a 225 front to a 235. Although, it felt like the rubber compound not the width that helped.
I've been very happy with the Avon Tech M500's, stock S4 sizes. good in wet and dry, quiet, reasonably priced, and appear to be wearing well. Nothing ridiculous on the sidewalls either.
There may still be some S-03's available, but my understanding is that they are being phased out and replaced by the RE050A PP as Brigstone's top of the line.
Interestingly, the RE050A is asymetrical, but not directional. They're marked "inside" and "outside," but no direction of rotation.
I have Dunlop SP Sport 8000, i like the ride, noise level is low and the wear is really good. One thing i wish they had is the lip to protect the wheel though.
Alan, what's this TPMS you are looking at installing?
