That new $2600 4 post storage lift shares about zero with a hot-rodded $300 2 post DIY success story in a 4 year old thread. Curious thread resurrection, Brad...

I've spent more time than a sane man should reading all the lift threads, so I'm with you on that! Just found it funny you'd bring up an ancient thread to post a non-sequitur of a response. Don't mind me, I'm just crabby 'cuz I don't have a 12 foot ceiling for either a good 2 or 4 post lift, and can't even do a MaxJax lift because I can't drill into my post-tension slab. It's all good Though I must say that a 4 post without any crossbeams for bottle jacks would be last on my wishlist for lifts.

Very old post...had to read the whole thing over again and I still don't remember it.Great job restoring that hoffman lift.It looks better than new.Thats a great lift for a low overhead garage,I don't remember the tops of the columns being much higher than 8 ft,if that.
I have to say lifts are a great thing, they make those big projects so much more manageable.

No worries Rob, after reading my post it wasn't all that friendly and maybe someday we will both have a hoist. Peace

OK so I measured my garage and its only a foot and a half longer then that hoist so it looks like thats out for me. Dam and I have a 12 foot ceiling.
