Default Vacuum Assist Door Locks - Troubleshooting

For a MY '79:

My passanger side door lock is acting up and I was hoping that someone on the board has some troubleshooting experience with these things.

Problem:
When unlocking the car from the drivers side, the passanger side unlocks as it should. However, when locking the shark from the drivers side the passanger side lock does not budge. I have to lock the passanger side externally with the key.

I cannot hear any vacuum leaks, but I won't rule that out. Any ideas on common failure modes?

Check connections in plastic tube vere the doors are henged - And I don't think you would be able to hear anything. Does i work with the engine running ( lock drivers side manual from inside ). If it's a very little leak, maybee it will work anyway. I had trouble with mine this winther but now the temp is up no problems....

You just have to get in there and check it out. Maybe the center diaphraghm is broken? If that were the case the passenger side vac solenoid would be able to pull up but not push down:
