Just Got My Powdercoated Engine Parts Back
I just got my intake mainfold, cam covers and timing belt covers back from Motorsports in Utah. They look really good overall! There's few places that look a little wierd, but overall it's a really good job. Here are some pics. I need to get a better camera, but these pics are good enough to see how bright and beautiful they are. On with the engine rebuild........

The wrinkle black is very nice. Is that paint or powder?
Oh, do you happen to have the part number on the air fliter? It looks bigger than the one I have.

Bill,
It's not paint it's powdercoat. I don't have the part # of the K&N filter. It's one that Brent (FeedNfrenzy on Rennlist) let me borrow until I'm finished fabbing up my fiberglass cold intake assembly. I will post pics once I'm done. I think it will work very well for us with the Mono-Tube Supermodels. I can get the part # for the filter in the pic from him tonight or maybe he will see this thread and chime in.
Terry,
Whatever you do don't go with the texture finish. It traps dust and dirt and it's too hard to wipe clean. The wrinkle finish still hides the imperfections but is way easier to keep clean. I painted the letters with a silver Testors paint stick. They are in the model car section at WalMart or any hobby shop. The tip is a perfect fit. It took me a total of 15 minutes to do both covers. Just make sure you shake it good after doing each letter to keep the color consistant. Good luck.

Please keep us posted on the cold air intake. I have the parts to do the through-the-fender intake that Brian Donaldson did, but I'm interested in your approach. I really liked the intake Blown Beast had.
