Recommended Spark Plugs?
Does anyone have part# or recommended type of spark plug for normal driving use? Bosch I presume...

I installed Bosch Platinum +4 plugs a few days after I bought my car, it had a very poor idle when I bought and these work great.

Had the NGK Iridiums (BPR6EIX i think?), but the car was forced induction. Had no complaints and would buy again. Any of NGK's #6 heat range plugs seem to work well in FI situations. I think BPR6ES is the non-iridium plug (cheaper).

Dr. Bob reccommended the Bosch Coppers also. Plug number is in the owners , manual. Mine had Beru in it when I changed them out. Ran good but the Bosch copper are suppose to help with NOX reduction.

Bosch or NGK copper. Bosch #7 (WR7DC) or 8 (WR8DC) and whatever NGK number matches. I have Bosch Super Copper which are supposedly non-US only, but a local shop where I used to live had them ($9 for the set). I have had better luck in previous cars with NGK, but Bosch Copper is what is commonly recommended and factory recommended. 928s in general do not like platinum or multiple electrode plugs.

When I had a PPI done they found the PO had installed new platinums...They recommended I replace them with the Copper Cores...That was about 4 months ago, and I'm still running(STRONG) on the Platinums w/no trouble.

I've got Bosch Platinum +4s, too, and don't seem to have any troubles. They've been in for 3 years, 10k miles.
What would be a manifestation of spark plug trouble? Why would "platinum" plugs cause trouble?

I use Bosch WR7DTC Copper tri-electrode. Just fitted a new set this last week - the old ones were worn after about 35K miles but still looked serviceable... All nicely matched wear.
Only problem is that they came with new ignition wires, rotors, caps, new timing belt, cam gears, crank gear, oil pump gear, idler bearings, tensioner rebuild, new water pump/thermostat (+flush), new radiator fan, AC tri-level switch, new oil pan gasket, new oil/filter (+flush), new fuel filter(pressure test), various cleaning & adjusting... Whew a big week (@~$4500) ... At least it does drive better - all that ignition work fixed an occasional miss issue at idle. Its actually been cheap to maintain the last 2 years (till now...)
My wife just rolled her eyes and muttered something that sounded like "money pit..."

According to the bosch site, platinum+4s don't work for the early models...only after 85 If I remember correctly. So I am looking at the coppers or platinum of which they do recommend will work.
