Default My Porsche lives in squalor

There's no denying that my garage is a disgrace and the poor car is shoehorned in there. But the whole thing is only 16 X 20 and the space has to serve for storage, workshop space for woodworking, sculpture, boatbuilding, and anything else I need to do, and store my poor car. The garage is the one downside of my otherwise terrific home.

I have no room to build a larger garage. I am looking for a piece of land within an hour's drive of the Cities and I'm going to put up a 30 X 40 pole barn for starters, and everything but the car tools and the car will go out there. I literally CAN'T WAIT to make this happen.

Until that happens though, these garage threads will only serve to depress me...

Here's my cluttered nest. All of the comforts of home: DirecTV, Sirius, A/C, beer fridge, 5 speed P-car, Automatic P-car. The Bend-Pak mid-rise lift got ordered last week, it'll go in the middle bay.

I prefer the shelves, boxes and parts look. You guys with pristine garages aren't really enjoying life to its fullest.

Here's mine
It serves as garage, junkstore (overhead) general workshop and as you can see, a place to hang the laundry in winter! The space in front of the bike is normally taken by my VW Kombi (MIcrobus).

Footnote. Hey Tony, are you English? Anyway your Union Jack is upside-down. That means you are in distress!!

Note that my *first* car ever is hanging on the wall over there ;-)

Ok... finally snapped a few. I was working on making a workbench today, so that's what all the mess is.

Still have a ways to go with reinforcements:

You can see the hood of my current BMW project, my new air compressor, the GTS, an Aprilia RSV1000, and some mess I made while putting my workbench together:

Side shot of the GTS, harbor freight press (actually works!), some tools, jackstands, and Ken's TOO COOL FOR SCHOOL Lift Bars. If you haven't bought yourself a set of Ken's liftbars, do it!

I keep the exotics by my desk... taken from my son's desk (who owns the Yellow 928)

At least you HAVE a garage....no wonder I can't keep up with folks here in terms of restoration and mods...

Should I get a pic of my shed?
Glen, I would advise to put the bolts from the inside of the cam tower on the ends of the cam tower(outside)...this way when the engine is in the car, it looks like you got new bolts all around...

The racing team garage. complete with tires, jack, tools (mostly Metwrench) and mechanic. 120+ race days, and it all starts and ends here! Ha ha! (well, mostly )

Here's a teaser. I'll post more when the drywall, Lista, Racedeck, and two-post-lift elves have all dropped by and worked their magic.
