I've got to stop reading this dribble. Racing and compariing handling to a 4 door Impala? How much lower can one sink? I guess the Maxima was too strong a target. These posts are total rubbish.

I picked up mine tonight (another thread to be started when pics are taken) and had driven no more than 10 miles from the transport company and had one BW 745 and BW 525 trying to make a go at it.
Since I had only had it a few minutes, I just smiled/waved at them and cruised along at 65. I figure when I get everything checked out to my satisfaction, then I'll open her up.

When it comes to the Mazda RXs, the second gen. turbo IIs can be surprisingly quick. A friend of mine had one long time ago. And with only a cat-back and a pair or slicks he pulled a 13.9sec. Besides the cat-back exhaust, the car was 100% stock. Without the slicks he was running low 14s. This is defiantly S4 territory. All of the RXs had really good handling and the turbos had the power too.

There are always a few trucks/SUVs that are a serious contender against the 928 when it comes to straight line acceleration. I really don’t care what make a car is, as long as it’s fast, but that’s just me.

I know a guy that put a blower on his new rumble bee.... it's a friggin 6k lb beast and would eat up a stock 928 to 100 or so no problem. lots of sneaky sleepers in socal for sure. it helps when an after market supplier gets carb cert for their blower kits too, but no such luck for our sharks so we're kinda stuck w/limited options in Kalifornia...
those twin turbo 300zx's are wicked quick w/the right turbos/IC's and handle quite well... lots of fun stuff around for sure
