Default Engine Cleaning!!

I put in some time today cleaning up my engine for the upcoming concours season......it takes forever to clean things (think hinges) but the Adams Polishes "In & Out" spray is AMAZING.....makes everything look nice and new with a couple sprays....then a quick wipe to dull down the shine & your done! I tried for a before and after pic...so the first is how the engine looked when I bought the car.....bottom is today! Its getting better, still not a "Seth" car...but close!

Heres a link to the spray

Wow Brian, looks real nice! Now you need to out and get the obligatory bug or two in the radiator and you'll be all set.

Wow that looks good! I love the gold-tone of the later 4 valve engines.

N!

That's not the same car! Brian secretly switched cars. Just look at the colored letters on the intake - the car in the first pic doesn't have them. Nah, must be a different car...

"it takes forever to clean things "

No kidding...look at the dates on the pics. It took him over a year and a half!

Nice work.
My car was quite dirty when I bought it, but still fairly original. I screwed up and used a cleaner that was too harsh-- didn't wreck the metal, but did remove much of the anodization from fittings and etc. Baaad call believing the lable!

Looks great!
FYI......... If you need to clean off carbon I bought some carberator cleaner from Wal-Mart. I don't remember the brand (don't think it matters) 97 cents per can! Worked great on the pistons, intake and exhaust manifold carbon during my rebuild. I bought a case! I know if you had carbon on your exhaust tips or anywhere else it would tackle that with ease.

I like your results...but I'm not sure I believe his small-production pitch. I wonder whether the stuff is sourced from a common manufacturer that allows custom labeling?

Brent,

If you get a chance, check your supply for the name of the product you purchased at Walmart. .79 vs $8.95.

I get a similar result using some Armor-All pro tire foam, sprayed onto a sponge, then wiped on everything that isn't painted. Problem is that it doesn't last a long time. It's not as shiny as yours, be that good or bad.

In the top of the fan console front, right around the air pump filter inlet, those bee-hive cavities are a real chore to keep clean. Anybody have any secrets to what they use in there to let the dirt blow away instead of getting stuck in there?

I really need to pull the fan and ignition modules off the front apron, and get in there and scrub/polish/wax like yours. Great job!
