Look at this oil cooler adapter plate
I was thinking about this for my 80 model, it does not have a oil cooler.
Ideas? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OIL-C...QQcmdZViewItem
TIA

Things are tight around there. You might want to make sure that the plate can be positioned at any angle, like this one. I grabbed the pic from the Pelican parts site, no affiliation.

I'm not sure where he got it, or if Todd made it for him, but Tim Murphy includes one with his supercharger kits that works well with 928's.

On one of my old turbo 928 cars i ran an O-berg racing filter and an oil cooler. The oil filter adapter was an off the shelf part, like $20 but for the life of me I cant remember where I got it.

Are they plugged? Somehow I had the impression that they were not drilled in cars that didn't have the cooler originally. Also, would he have to add the oil thermostat?

The factory oil cooler passages are drilled, so if you don't put in the thermostat (or a plug?), the oil will bypass the cooler.

On my 81 they are plugged. The thermostat parts ( pictured above) :
928-107-171-01 Spring (above)
928-107-172-02 Regulator insert
928-107-173-00 Spring (below)
900-123-143-70 Sealing ring
cost around $20 IIRC.
The fittings are available from the 'big 3' I believe.
Not sure about aftermarket cooler.
