I cashed a check for a hottie that came into my office one day... against better judgement, but.... got burned for $50.00... no big deal, but I turned it over to the DA anyway... a few months later I got a call from the DA's office telling me she was arrested, and they wanted my statement for her pending check fraud charges ... never heard from them again. she was hot. next time I'll just get a lap dance and not worry about the check.

related to topic? nah, but she was hot.

Here's one for you:

Once upon a time in beautiful East Oakland, CA, I came home to find my house ransacked. Among the items taken was my checkbook. Soon thereafter some bad checks appeared on my credit report, although I had no trouble disputing them because of a theft report I made with the friendly and always cooperative Oakland PD officers. However, I asked for copies of the checks which were all written against my account at a nearby (a few blocks away) check cashing place. I noticed that the person who forged my signature was a female and the name on the checks was mine ( a male, I think.... ).
Of course the clerk at the check cashing place didn't bother to put the two together; the photo he took of her was available later after I made the dispute, and at that time they realized their mistake. Really par for the course in such an itellectually stimulating environment as East Oakland. I don't know if anyone bothered to fire that clerk, because he could have stopped this madness right then and there by notifying the always responsive Oakland PD. Of course they would have been a bit slow to arrive, as they are usually involved in more pressing public concerns like testing the quality of sugar used on the donuts in the local donut shop.

Here is my $.02 worth. Whenever making a big purchase over the net, use an escrow service. You as buyer send the funds to escrow company, they notify seller they have received the $$, seller sends you the goods, you notify the escrow company they have been received and they pay seller. There is a fee for the service, but a whole lot more protection than other methods I think. Jason hope you get your $$ back.

I was also burned by Robert Hack. He is a scammer that should be avoided. Maybe we can all inundate (sp) his inbox with questions about his auctions. We can also sign him up for every questionable internet mailing list. Left wing, right wing, womens lib, NAMBLA, Beastiality, White power, NAACP, gay pride etc. We could also post some items for sale that he doesn't sell, at very low prices, and list his phone number or e-mail address with instructions such as "I work days so please call an night. The later the better as I usually don't get home until after 10pm. It might not stop him, but it would make me feel better.
BTW. Isn't that car he has listed painted the same unusual red color as the red car that was totaled the other day?

a few friends and I can take a trip to pick up the tranny on your behalf if you iinstruct him to turn it over to me.

If he says no, I might just have to purchase that tranny when relisted and go and pick it up for myself.

Either way, the games he's playing are very dangerous and are compounded by the fact that he lives so close to the NJ pine barrens.

Paypal makes it so easy to pay. But I have been told that the best way to pay for a transaction is via postal money order. Be very clear on the m.o. as to what you are paying for. If the guy rips you off it becomes mail fraud and a federal offence. Supposedly the postmaster general will get involved.

I found this: Robert Hack, (609) 426-0419, 269 Disbrow Hill Rd, Clarksburg, NJ 08510

And here is a link to his company.

I don't know that this is the same robert hack. I do not condone any violence against this individual. I just thought some people here might be interested in this for informational purposes only.
