Default 1930 Porsche 928

1930 Porsche 928

Even if it IS a 1930 Porsche 928, The $43K asking price is pushing it for a car in this condition.

It just goes to show, how a well designed body style still looks after 76 years! Looks as fresh today as it did back then!

Sold! .... non sunroof '88 from Japan: if he got the $50K Cdn, it's time I tested the market ...

EDIT

... from the ebay ad
"On 14-Apr-06 at 03:33:22 EDT, seller added the following information:
This item is no longer for sale."

That's why I said 'sold' above ... and also from the ad ..

"Question & Answer Answered On

Q: Porsche was pretty advanced in their design in 1930.
Apr-11-06
A: collectoldstuff, I was wondering how many comments I would get regarding the 1930. The reason I put that is, because Ebay wouldn't accept my VIN number for some silly reason. So in order to get past that step in the listing process I had to choose a year prior to 1981 so it wouldn't complain. So to minimize confusion, I chose a year that was obviously false. The VIN number is correct, and legit. Cheers, -Glen "

IMHO, a clever way to beat the ebay inability to accept euro VIN numbers.

Definitely to much for an '88. But still a wonderful car and worth a lot more than 7,8 or even 12k U.S. some guys paid for their 88 or so car lately. We (928 owners) know that our car worth a lot more than this!!! Don't you think??

I am the first guy to say our cars are wayyyy under valued, but this car is not any better than a US model and it has seen some road time. I would say in the $20K's is about right in my mind. However, I am SURE many will flame me on this list by saying it is only worth about $10K or $12K at best.

I'm with you on this one, Keith. This board is constantly doing its best to drag DOWN the value of our cars. There are those out there that would would be suggesting $9K for it. $43K is high, but I'd love to see him get it. I love it if he got half of that.

Maybe we should band together and list our cars at double what the market calls for, if everyone does that, we just made our cars that much more valuable.

Settle down guys. The asking price was around $14,000 but after I totalled the car 2 nights ago, I didn't want anyone bidding on it, so I jacked up the price until I could figure out how to cancel the ebay listing.
