Default Upper rear quarter window trim comes up too short - S4

I keep on ordering the correct part number for the upper window trim on my 87 S4 and the trim is always delivered too short (see pict)... any clues?

Could this be the piece for the S models?

Hi what kind of spoiler do you have ? if you have an S4 then you will need the longer trim piece, if you have an S then the shorter one will work, Stan

The length looks about right for the S model. If it's too short for yours, you've got the wrong part., for whatever reason that might be. Maybe it was mislabeled, mispacked, or misshipped... Mistakes happen, and I hope your vendor will correct it.

Call one of the BIG 3 and see if they have the part in stock measure the size you need and see if any one of the big 3 has the correct length. Boom , Done!

Had the same problem with some I ordered years ago. The plastic ones seemed shorter than the originals.

The later plastic part, which has this PN, is supposed to be longer than the S version. Definitely call one the the Big 3 or 4. That's why I asked where you got the part. Porsche is among the last resorts for me. That may be where the Big 3 or 4 (or 5) get a lot of their parts, but I trust them to sort through these issues. DEVEK has done that repeatedly for me when Porsche got the wrong part or modified the part without notice.
