Default Broken cat outlet

When I was removing my cats yesterday to install my new WBO2 sensor, I broke off one of the outlet pipes. I had noticed before that it appeared to have a sloppy-looking (not Porschelike) bead of welding on it, and it broke under this weld (as though it had broken before, been repaired, and broken again).

How to the outlet pipes on your cats look? Sloppy welding? Does anyone have a picture handy that they could post? (I'll post one later if I need to.)

Should I a) get it rewelded; or b) replace it with an ><-pipe with cats?

Thanks,
