Ok,.... I've re-read the various previous posts covering this issue. During a TB/WP job, I've had the mechanic take out the air pump on the 1985 shark I recently purchased. I'm trying to locate the small belt used by others so as to still drive the cooling fan. I've read these following sizes from the previous posts: 1/2 x 20 or 1/2 x 21 or 12.5/13 x 510 mm.

Problem is, I can't find an auto parts supplier here who carries a belt this small. I read on a post of a particular auto supplier who does, just they dont exists here. I also read that you can use a lawnmower belt. One parts guy said those belts are designed to allow slippage?? My mechanic said his supplier was "trying to get one". I know what that means... another senseless delay in this final piece of the puzzle to getting my shark back! If I can't find one in person, then even online is better than waiting for some unknown "supplier".
I just want to get the belt, take it to him & get it wrapped up!

One last request. A survey of which is most preferred in the size? the 20" 0r 21"? I've read both endorsed. I plan to buy both just in case, then see which fits best. THANKS!

try lawnmower stores the Gates belt 2200 says "for lawn and garden equipment in the 3 to 17 HP range use"

I got mine at Napa. I used a 4L210. It's a 1/2" V-belt. Most people seem to use 21" a few have said 20 or 22. If you get a lawnmower one it will probably be green (like mine) or some other color. If you ask for a 1/2" x 21" automotive V-belt, you'll probably get black.

The NAPA 4L200 or 1/2 x 20" worked for mine(& it was black not green). Thanks again guys!
