On a used-car lot by my house...
>>> NO AFFILIATION <<<
Only posting because I love 928s, and have not seen one in person for far too long so I went to look at it.
Only knowledge of this dealer (one of oh, about 200 or so little used car lots along this stretch of Division Ave...) is that he recently offered a spotlessly clean and straight RX-7 convertible to a friend of mine at a very honorable price. My friend was too slow and someone else snagged that one, but he said the fellow was not very weasel-ish.

I crawled around this shark Sunday and took a couple of crappy cellphone pics. The dealer was closed, so I couldn't get into it nor under the hood.
My thoughts:
- Beautiful guards red, but the stone chips and a nasty scratch on the left rear quarter show that it's been resprayed, but was done very well.
- Poorly installed windshield, too much black goop.
- Perfect dash!,but one long crack in the pod.
- Tan leather a bit worn, no obvious tears.
- Car was detailed and then some - if the front and rear spoilers get any more Armourall they will probably melt...
- Missing undertray and alternator-cooling hose, the lowest point of the alternator has a flat spot ground into it from a steep driveway.
- No obvious fluid drips, spots on pavement look old (hey, it's a used car lot)
- New tires, I think Yokos. Car sat nice & low.
- Automatic (with original shifter handle BTW): a little less temptation for me to ruin myself financially...
Please please please someone command me to test-drive it for them!

If I had it (which I don't), and if I wanted another automatic tranny car (which I don't) , I'd offer him $7000 and point out the horrendous underside damage and hideous paint damage. And incorrect wheels too, what kind of patched-together junk are you trying to sell me, you weasel!
My saving-up-for-sportscar account is nowhere near "driveable Porsche" level, in fact it's only recently been boosted up to "beaten-with-the-ugly-stick-parts-car" level, and I'm not going into debt again for one.

Yup, the rear rims are for sure S4s. The alternator pulley is the multi ribbed design, so the engine is an early 32V.
