Smile Is the 12 volt wire on my antenna a problem?

I've redone everything on my audio system. My radio has an excellent reception rating, but some stations can't keep sterio. Fant static. Can that 12 volt wire around my antenna be causing the problem? I'ts not hooked up. 89 S4

Yes you do need to power that line...

I always think that if there is a wire dangling & not connected - I want to know why... and who did it...
