Question Head & Cam Cap Line Boring Specifications Needed

I have a set of S4 heads with mismatched cam caps. I need to get these line bored, and am wondering if anyone has the specifications on the diameter and length of the bore needed.

Thanks!

For all 5L 4 cam motors:

From page 26 of the Tech booklet:

Bore diameter for camshaft: 28 + 0.021 mm

Crankshaft diameter: 28 -0.04 / - 0.055 mm

Axial play 0.08- 0.18 mm

Thanks Adam, didn't even think to look there. I guess I can measure a head to figure out the length.

I have a local estimate to have this done for $400, does anyone know if this is good or bad?

Thanks Sterling, I guess for $400 I hope they do it right.... Anything special about doing the 928 heads as opposed to other motors?

Might be worth calling and getting a quote for a typical Japanese aluminimum head DOHC 4 banger. If its less than $200 than you've got your answer.

I have a damaged cam cap too - and was wondering about this procedure. Would it not be necessary to grind down the mounting surfaces before boring? If not, I can't see how you would get any metal to bore from...

Just as a follow-up, I am having this done locally for the $400 price.
