Default New shoes- 11"Turbo twists with 295s

Got them in the mail today. Mounted them up with a good tug/pull on the rear fender lip then a light roll of the lip just in case.
PERFECT FIT!!

Quick test drive and its like night and day as far as traction vs my kuhmo 265s!! No rubbing.

Easy to clean and updated the car to an OEM "modern" look IMHO.
VERY happy and highly recomend

The RIVAs looked great also...just time for a change. Got a good deal on the wheels

Very nice - I never really liked those wheels on 911's. They look perfect on the 928 - damn, silver 928, my dream shark.

Looks very nice. What size is the front? What are the offsets?

Front: 18x8 et 50 with Continental Sport Contact 2 tires 225-40ZR18
Rear: 18x11 et 45 same tires but 295-30 ZR18

Traction is "mo" better.

Still have to be careful, but MUCH better.

Those fronts would never fit my 79.

Looks good Tony.

I definitely found a huge difference from 255's being almost useless to having much more fun with sticky 295's.

No they arent. I was looking at a set but couldnt justify the cost over these WITH tires. I put this combo on the scales and the twist rims with the 295 Conti's are 3lbs heavier than the 10" Rivas with Toyo 275 RA1s/...57 lb vs 54 lbs.
I figure with the extra width of the rim and the larger tire...thats not too bad.
It all adds up yes, but i doubt i can feel the differnce in 3lbs per wheel with 422ftlbs of tq.

thank Mike. Its not a show room, thats for sure. It gets a LOT of use..the digital pics make it look better. I will say the floor is holding up well after 2 + years. Defintiely not like the day it was set down, but way better than bare concrete.

Now, i wonder how long it will take until my wife notices the wheels

Amazing that 18x8 50 offset fits the front. Looks like they are out in the photo, but may tuck with suspension compression. My 17x7 52 barely fits.

You know , I wanted to do that over 2 years ago. I'll take the credit for that,
Your just some sort of mind reader.
I love it.

I only know they fit as others have ran this combo. I took the car out and did a couple laps around our near by "round about".... no rubbing. I diid a full lock turn in the street to turn around at the house...no rubbing. Im sure under some combo of situations i may get it?? dunno? I would get an ocaisional rub with the front RIVAs ...but only under a hard turn under compression.
Ill snap some pics of the front when i can, but they really dont stick out AT ALL.
really look good.
Btw, im running the bilstein/eibachs from 928intl if that helps. Ill have to check the ride height in a bit also.

I love the Tread pattern. Reminds me of the RE71's, if I'm not mistaken.

FYI....i also noticed something about the twists that i never knew about before. Look at the picture below and think about either side of the car.
I should post it in the "did you know " thread.
