Default Update in the new purchase 89s4

I got the Carbon fiber caca off the car except the arm rest.. when i began to peel it started to peal the leather or plastic so i stopped
I used Goo Gone to remove the glue two very small bottles did the trick.
The results of removing the Caca Fiber:
1.Side view mirror control works and i now can adjust which mirror i adjust.
2.Center vent now is fully inserted in to the dash.
3.Shifter area not warped due to poor fitting CF
4.it doesnt look like a cheap stick on aplique

I purchased a new antenna from Boardwalk VW I bought the long one and it looks just grand! "stinger'esque"

How much???? 27.00 thats ll 27 bucks for a new "cool" antenna

The interior:

I purchased from PEP boys some lexol cleaner and conditioner.....

I dont know what the cleaner was about but it didnt seem to do a dern thing. I did however clean the seats with tuff stuff prior and even that didnt get some of the issue out i wanted to clean.
I then applied the COnditioner and it seemed to work very well. The seat absorbed the oil very quickly I used the rag with the conditioner on other parts of the car and it seemed to also wrok very weel on the door panels and plastic....and just about everywhere. I went out to the car this am and none of the pieces had melted off due to some rash chemical reaction LOL.

Its night and day difference with the interior done.

Paint:

Since it black I paid through my knose to have it buffed and waxed by a local detail shop.

Man was it worth it! The paint just radiates and is soooo smooth to the touch!

UNderhood: I have begun to spray liberal amounts of wd-40 all over the engine bay on everything. Its a trick i used when i bought old mopars with dirty underhoods.......It really helps losen dirt and stop corrosion on aluminum and its become easier to wipe away dust etc. it would appear that my PS fluid reserviore has been over filled I think.........everything else seems very good. No leaks etc.

PS wd-40 on wheel wells evernight make wheel well cleaning a snap duringthe weekend!

I have noticed the idle is getting better the more i drive dont know why except that the car sat for so long and was never really driven

Any advice on the fuel injector cleaner?

More to come later!

BTW: you guys rock! Its great to see the support on this forum!

Techron for injectors, but you'll probably have to remove and send out for a REAL cleaning.

As for the leather interior, I hear the Mr. Clean Magic Earsers work well. Worth a try.

I second Andrew's recommendation on the Techron - as concentrated as you can get it with as little gas mix as feasible. (do this before you chenge the fuel filter) Then just add a bottle every 1000 or so miles at fillup. I believe it is the best gas-added fuel injector cleaner out there.

Lexol conditioner is good. Slather it on every other week for a couple of months. Then just twice a year after that.

Give the car an Italian tune up. That will work a lot better than Techron.
