Default C/V joint mystery

Relative has early '78 ROW 928, chassis number 00221 to be exact. It has C/V joints which have part number 928 332 029 01. There is also Löbro 25 86 number in them. I can't find anything from PET with that number. 928 Specialists website lists some unspecified part with it. There isn't any description on it but $250 price suggests it could be C/V joint. While joints are fine couple of them could use new boots. 928 332 922 01 boot kit 928 International sells for example contains boot which is ½" too small at large end. What are these joints and what is correct part number for the boot kit?

Thanks Dave. Exactly what I was looking for. I quess Porsche used different joints for some '78 MY cars at least. They just forget to mention this in PET.

I think these Lobro joints and half shafts are the same as the later 911 and also the 930 diameters. Call Dan at 760-751-0718 and tell him you want the 930 boots, stock # 01-86-1094-K. I paid $30 each for the kit which included new flanges which I didn't use, new boots, bag of grease, and two metal ring retainers. these joints are common on many Euro cars with fairly high HP, Mercedes, Audi, Porsche, Ferrari, etc.

The later boots (and matching tin flanges) were changed to have a larger ridge on the inside of the large diameter so as to make it harder to fit, and coincidentally stay in place better and keep out dust and crud better.

Glad you found the info useful, Erkka. And Heinrich, thanks! Hard to believe it was 2 years ago....
