Window One Touch Down - VW Relay

Window One Touch Down - VW Relay
Greetings,
I read with enthusiasm in some other threads of the possibility to use a VW Window Relay in a 928 to get the One Touch Down feature. I called the local dealer today and didn't get very far... Has anyone ACTUALLY done this, and if so, can you please provide a part number?
Thanks,
Pete Whelan

P.S. looking forward to Bonneville in July!!!

It's got to be more than just a relay. I would think first of all the switch is different. A light press for normal operation or a heavier press to enguage the express portion (as does my other car). Also, is there logic to determine if the window has reached the top or bottom of it's travel, or is a simple timer? I would hope there are limit switches in there somewhere.

Nick - to your other question - these are not timer operated - they usually monitor the motor current and stop when the current spikes as the motor stalls, this is how the Porsche one works anyway This also provides protection against shutting things in the window or for mechanism failures. (there is also a timeout)
However I wouldn't suggest testing it on your fingers - it takes a good bit of force to trigger it!
For the later Porsche version express is selected every time you press the button for >0.5 sec - click it again to stop (or click the other end of the button).
It does the windows & sunroof sequentially - it only has one current sensing mechanism so it switches it between them - it does have a memory though - so you can hit all the open buttons for 0.5 sec each and it will open them in the sequence you selected...

From: Seattle - it's not Hell, but you can see it from here!
mine are one-touch from spilling lemonade in them.
each switch in the vw windows have a logic "signature" witch goes to the convenience control module and it communicates with the individual window modules in the window motors to tell which window what to do. you'd never get it to work...
