Default How to bypass oil cooler.

has anyone bypassed oil cooler before? Id like to do this to rule out my oil in coolant problem. If you have Id like to know what you used tools and whatever fitting. thanks

just pull the rad and test it, Mike. You need to to flush everything out, anyway. It is not a HUGE job.

If you do jump out the oil cooler, use a piece of hydrolic hose rated to at least 150 psi and 150 degs C. Any thing else will blow, and cause a mess that is rediculoous.Dont ask how I figured this out...

The oil cooler fittings are Metric.. The only place that has them AFIK, is BAT industries in Fl... They are not cheap.. just pull the rad and have it tested in a rad shop for $20... It takes 5 mins to test...

weld 2 cooler fittings together or put old-style plugs in ... i bet you can buy em from intl.

The fittings that attach to the rad are NLA... might want to reconsider taking them out of circulation.

yep it was cooler. i bypassed it and it quit letting oil in. Thanks to all that helped
