'91 GT (black) on Ebay!!
#31
About 3-4 months ago I offered the owner $18k for the car (not knowing the salvage history etc) and he refused saying he would not take less than $21k. A couple of weeks ago he emailed me stating he has not been able to sell the car yet and is open to offers. But I already bought the 928 I wanted. Plus after knowing the history of the car I don't know I will be willing to pay $18k, probably $16k (but that's me).

It belongs to a Rennlister now....
Sold....yesterday....to me....for $16K.
I'll have more info a little later, but there have been no surprises so far including a PPI done by M&H Autohaus. It's really a pretty clean machine. The car is currently at Willow Automotive in downtown Chicago through the end of this week and should be showing up at Exotic Motorwerks in Phoenix around the second week in Oct. (if anyone wants to check it out before it comes home to my garage).
The seller has been great to work with on this. Though I won't be able to completely exhale until Dan Warner has been through the car...

Thanks for all the kind words of support, guys. It just got loaded on the truck (Express Auto Transport) this morning and they estimate arrival in Phoenix on Sat (!). Must be the slow season for moving cars, eh?

Thought I'd give it a bump since this has become the thread about my car!
Well, it arrived in Phoenix late last week. I could have been more impressed with Express Auto Transport. PM me if you want details...about the only good thing I can say about them was that the car did not get damaged during shipping.
Dan & Yolanda at Precision Motorwerks have just about finished up the PPI (Post-Purchase Inspection...that is). So far about as expected...mostly minor stuff. The only big surprise so far is the TB. "Loosest one I've ever seen" according to Dan! I am SOOOO glad I didn't decide to drive the car back from Chicago! So that's getting replaced post-haste! Also going to do new oil pan & valve cover gaskets. PSD service. etc.... More updates and some pics soon.

Okay, one more post and I'll let this thread fade into the archives.
As promised, some photos of the car in its new surroundings (Saguaro Natl Park).

Nordschleife Master
Looks good!
I just this weekend got to my touch up paint and man what a difference! I wish they used a tinted primer instead of white, which on a black car's sucks cause every time you get a nick, and you often do in a car that can hit 170mph, you get white flakes all over!
