Default exhaust

I had the 928 SP afterburner system, I had crossover pipe into that, I think it was 3.5" with a single spintech muffler. Was horrible loud. Tried to find middle ground, couldn't, trashed it. Still got the muffler

I have stock headers, into a Y piece in place of the front muffler. Then 3" into two small straight thru mufflers. It has an annoing resonance around 2k rpm. Fine othervise, loud, but not uncomfortably so.

It also runs way smoother than before. No 1800rmp "misfire".

Airflite, I've tried copper, asbestos, the thick aluminum, all to no avail. I had an exhaust shop warp the flanges badly by overtightening the bolts. I've tried to hammer them back straight, but they still don't seal well. The current method I have to use is putting an aluminum gasket together with a regular asbestos gasket with lots of high temp sealant on both sides. This holds well until the asbestos gets brittle and blows out.

What I plan to switch to is a flex joint made by Jim Cook Racing, and are available at www.sebringtuning.com . They allow plenty of engine movement with regards to the exhaust, and still maintain a leak free seal.
