H: there is no difference between the 944 sport seats and 928 sport seats except for the inset areas. ????
And I have never seen sport seats re-covered as nice as the original skins.

Carl: the insert construction on the 928 seats are completely different. Padding, support and leather work are not only different, but also much more difficult to achieve. As for your last statement:

Add to this Dave's pictures on the first page of this thread. They have also been recovered and look pretty good to me

Paul if shipping wasn't ridiculous I would ship my seats to you and pay you to have them redone in new leathers. Your work is amazing.

Brian,

Looking forward to seeing your before and afters! My car is currently on a Intercity truck being hauled across country. I should have it either Sunday or Monday of next week. Yeah the wait is killing me! Sad thing is that the roads here haven't been swept yet so I can't drive it yet.

So does anyone know of any good upholstery shops in Maine or New Hampshire? Also from everyone's experience who offers the best match to factory stock leathers?

Last time I saw SharkSkin, he was alive and still had all his skin on. Well, at least in the areas that were not covered by clothes.

Perry,

Unfortunately, attachments are broken on these forums (at least they are at the moment, so I cannot attach any images). Due to this, I've posted them on my website. Go here:
pic 1
pic 2
pic 3

These are a few images of my (OEM) S4 interior. You can see that the leather isn't tight except on the sides. The center areas are supple. One of the pictures I took is almost exactly the same angle as one of Dave's pics on the first post in this thread. You can compare them side-by-side. The color is a little dark in my photo (I didn't color match the photo to the seats). I have champagne interior.

My side bolsters are going to need some help though. They are starting to crack some. Any suggestions from anyone?

Hope this helps.

Nice thing about the supple leather is that if it shrinks, it just looks more like its non-supple counterpart. If the latter shrinks, it looks much worse.

Devek has a pair of black 928 sports that came out of a 90-91 GT....the drivers seat will need some repairs...but isn't that bad...the passengers seat just needs some leatherique
