Default Would these 18" wheels fit on a '91 S4?

Front: 8 1/2" X 18" 52mm offset
Rear 10 1/2" X 18" 47mm offset

I'd like to know what issues I may have with these....I've got a ton of spacers in stock, but I don't want to go too excessive, and don't want to roll fenders. If they are too much of a pain to make work, I can live without them.

Hi Ed I have 2005 Carrera S4 wheels 8 X 57 -18 on my front and 10 X 58-18 on the back and no fender rolling or spacers and the car is a 88 S4, and the tires dont hit , the smaller the offset the further the wheel is pushed out, I dont know if this helps

I run a C2 18 inch rear wheel with a 47 offset on my GT with a 275 x 35 tire....it is close but no contact. your tire choice will be the key....seems to me. On the front, you may get away with it....but my experience was that bump steer was significantly increased with any offset outboard of stock specification.

I tried a 52 offset with a 245 35 18 wheel and tire and I needed Dramamin to drive any further than about 10 miles......

I think that a 52 front offset brings the scrub radius down to almost nothing, so you lose the self-centering effect of the steering. Maybe someone with some real world experience can tell us if that is a big deal, though. On the one hand, I've read that you only really notice it at the extreme of handling, but also that it's like trying to keep a marble rolling in a straight line on a flat surface, and requires constant steering input and corrrection. Anyone?

7" front with 52mm offset worked on my S4.
8.5" 52mm may rub. And the 7" had narrow 225 wide tires.

The newer Porsche wheels (997) do offer 56mm offset that the front 928 suspension likes.

Ed
It seems that both of those wheels are a bit on the outside acceptable range for 928's....They would work, but it wouldn't be ideal?

8x17 et52 & 9x17 et52 works fine on my 79 and 81. Each have the factory rear spacer.

The front is okay. The rear will hit the right fender lip with 285/30-18. The left rear will probably be okay because of built tolerance (of lack of) Porsche had.

ET52 on front wheels is a good fit with 225/40-18. I have that on my S4 and it drives perfectly and the wider track improves handling also.
