Default SPY REPORT - DR's SC!!!

OK...I visited with DR & Jeannie for a couple of hours yesterday. David is getting close to the final configuration. THe last time I was here...I did NOT get a ride - as the SC setup (I think that was version #5!) was off the car being worked on.

This time....I DID get to ride!!! (I even got to DRIVE - BETTER THEN VIAGRA!!). The one caveat - I couldn't look under the hood until AFTER our little 'road test"

HOLY BATTURDS, BATMAN. THe power was AWESOME. THe accelerator was more like an "on/off" swtich then a gas pedal. In the lower gears, the speedo looked more like a tach then a speedo...it would just JUMP up in speed.

Towards the end of the ride, we pulled in a gas station, and DR let me look under the hood. WE WERE RUNNING WITH ONLY ONE OF THE TWO (smaller-then-stock) THROTTLE BODIES!!! (He is waiting on a part to be fabbed so he can do the final mapping for the twin throttle body setup).

As impressed as I was, we were probably only running at 75-80% power of what the final setup will have!!!

I know it has been a wait for many who have committed to orders for this setup..but - BELIEVE ME - IT WILL BE WELL WORTH THE WAIT!!

iF THE 928 WERE MADE TODAY - THIS IS THE WAY IT WOULD RUN! (I wouldn't shy away from a stoplight run with almost ANY car!!)

DR is such a friggin perfectionist. He ain't selling it until it is PERFECT in his mind...and it IS gonna be the perfect setup.

ALSO - The 16V is in prelim 'mockup' stages on his 85 EURO. It might be even COOLER then the 32v when finished. I am sworn to secrecy on further details. Suffice it to say - I have already committed to the FIRST available 16v!

I think 2006 will be a great year for Boosted 928's.....DR's kit (daily driver reliable with 400+whp), Mark R's turbo kit, Kuhns TT kit.....not to mention Murphy-Carl-Andy(??)....

Kudos to DR for the "getting-it-perfect" development.

I bought a X-over from 928 Specialists. The quality was superb. I'm sure the SC kit will be the same.
