Hi again. Thanks for the warm welcome, I`ll try to answer your questions :
NIcole, the car is a " Norwegian special, a 82, with a few uppgrades, basically gts front and rear, no flared fenders. The PO spendt about 18000 usd on the car the last 3 years, so its in ok shape.
Yes the Norwegian speed limit is a bit low, 100 km/h ( 62 mph ) and its expensive to speed ( if you are caught driving in 130 km/h, in a 100 zone, its about 1000 US dollars in fines.
But its only about a 11 hour drive to Germany, and the Autobahn :-), and you always have track days, so my sharks will stretch its legs, no worries.

Ferris B, the interrior is currently in pieces, im fixing it up a little, pics will follow in due time.
I`m in Drammen, about 50 km south of Oslo, I`ll wawe when I see your family :-)

WIcruiser I agree with you about the white stuff, we got about 4 feet of it now, and minus 13 degrees Celcius at the moment, no fun !! Yes I do my own wrenching, so look out for a few uppgrades on my shark.

Sorry but I dont know anyone named MOrken,

Macreel my shark lowes winter, driving a powerfull rwd car on snow is fun, actually I like winterdriving better than summer,
I`M close to Oslo.

Dawe Howerdel the exhaust is basically a 3 inch system all the way, no headders - but they are on my shopping list.

84-928S-inChicagoland , give me a ring when you come over here then, -- come here in the summertime, don`t come in wintertime unless you like freesing :-)

Pfunde, yes snow and sharks mix pretty well - sideways all the time .

Ian928, you are absolutely right about the car, lets meet up some day , in April its a autox in Drammen, care to come ? Its going to bee a fast one, so it should be ok for a shark.

Hi Marton, yes I`m allowed studded tires, but I`m thinking about non studded friction tires, less noise and usually better all around, its no fun hearing the studds pinging off the inner fenders when you are going fast.
Are you using your shark in the snow ?

Cheers HP

HP, I used my 928 one winter, and tried Continental WinterViking studless 205 width tires on my original 16" tires. That was not a success, I guess the car was too heavy and powerful for those skinny tires. Those particular(?) studless tires were very soft both in sidewall and friction surface, making the car almost dangerous. Probably best to go with one of the high-speed rated tires that are on offer now and in the original width for your wheels. My girlfriends 944Turbo has studless tires in 225 and that works pretty good.

I would have liked to be in the autox with my 928 but I have the engine removed and building a supercharger system for it so no go. But my girlfriend has her 951 in Oslo, so maybe we can make it? What is the date and which club is it?

Yes, every day. I have the Yoko 205 snow tires which are rated for 200Km/h, say 125 mph. They seem pretty good, not had any problems. In summer, I drive on Michelin Club Sport, they also seem pretty good
It is a 5 speed manual 81s.

In the Summer, I mostly use my Mustang convertible

HI again, Ian 928, I`m not sure about the date - its not been set yet, but if you go to bilslalom.no, I think you will find it there ( in a couple of weeks time )

I`ll be going for 225, 50,16. snow tires, dont know what brand yet - I want to get the car rolling this week, so I`m in a hurry.
Its back to the garage for me - Later
