Default Antera wheels

After my recent curb damage, I am scheduled to get my wheels powder coated later this week.

But the recent thread about wheels had me fall lin love with a rarely seen style of Antera wheels with a very clean and somewhat phone-dial-like design:

I believe I have seen these wheels somewhere before, but know nothing about them. I can't seem to find any information on them on the web, so I have to assume they are no longer available. Or are they?

- Anybody know the product name, so I could do more research?
- Do they have the same dimensions as the GTS or Mille Migila 17" rims for the later models?
- Who has experience with these wheels - do they last well?

Hey Nichole:
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you on the wheels. I have been searching long and hard for wheels to replace them with.....The only one i would part with my current ones are the 2-3 piece 5 spoke speedlines, or the current antera modle 163 wich is a more current model of the 123 that i have
here is the info I have currently on mu wheels.

ANTERA 123
number on lip of rim is 123 857 001, all 4have this even though there is
2 different sizes. possibly a modle/order number..123 is the modle number

Wheels are:
front 8.5 x 17 H2 ET51
rear 9.5 x 17 H2 ET57
The ones I have are chrome finish with porsche centers. I purchaced them used off of ebay about 1.5 years or so ago.

I would suggest doing a google serch with the mode number. Here is a Pic of the Model 163 that is a more current evolution in the design, it appears to be a 2 piece. I would part with my 123's for the 163's. I hope this helps in your search.

While a handsome wheel, it looks less like a modern phone dial than a direct rip-off of the old, Campagnolo wheel for Lamborghini Countach and it's later evolution in the Diablo:

Geez Nicole, we had a set with new 17" tires we just let go for about $600 because they sat around here for too long. The quality was not the greatest and they were heavy as hell but nicely chromed. We put them on a red 944 about a month ago.

Uh - somebody got a he!! of a deal!

For that price, I would have taken them in chrome - even though for the color of my car I clearly prefer silver.

Well, for a moment I thought I might buy some Anteras and sell the freshly powdercoated turbo twists. But I think I'll just stick with what I have - it's not that I don't like them. The Anteras are just a temptation - kind of like the devil calling...
