Default 83S option code location?

I've checked the manuals and under the carpeting in the rear hatch and there is no sticker there, just the white fabric square about mid way up. Is the sticker located somewhere else? this car is original and all else underneath the carpet looks 23 yrs old.

Is it a euro? Most euro's I've seen don't have the option code sticker above the fuel tank.

In that case, you're screwed.

Gotta do the certificate of authenticity thru the mothership.

Euros should have it just like US models. Older the car is less chance there is sticker is still intact. Sticker first appeared some time in early eighties, maybe '81 MY.

not quite

go to the local dealer, PARTS DEPT... introduce yourself and tell them you got an early 928 that the jerk PO removed the option sticker and you need this info to make sure he didn't screw something up (sob story) give them the vin, they can give you the options in about 30 secs...
if they won't do it just pm me the vin and I'll have my guy run it for you
