I have to replace the tires on my daily driver Mazda Wagon. The OEM tires are Michelin, but they sell for $190 each and lasted 30k miles. I've been thinking about buying either Kuhmos or Falkens. That way, I can replace all 4 for the price of 2 michelins.
Anybody use either of these brands? Any suggestions/recommendations/reviews would be really helpful.
I've used both of these brands, and actually prefer the Falken to the Kuhmos...In any event...with either set of tires, if you do regular rotation, you will get better longevity than your "came with the car Michelens"...the tires they put on the car from the factory never last very well. (At least thats been my experience)...But you can go to NTB or Sears or somewhere and get 60,000 hell, even 80,000 mile warrantied tires, for around 1/2 of what the Michelens cost. Look carefully at the tread pattern though, as some of the cheaper tires, are also quite "noisy".. so ask the tire guy about a durable, quiet, all season replacement for cheap...see where he points you.

Thanks in advance.
Fuzion ZRi's are really popular and pretty inexpensive.
FWIW, I've been running Falken GR Beta FK 451s (whew, tis a mouthful!) on my stock 16" 928 wheels, and like 'em very much. I plan to stick with 'em once my 17" wheels are ready for rubber, too.
cool...thanks guys. I saw the Falkens for $75 each from Discount Tire Direct.com with free shipping and no tax. This is for a Mazda 6 Sportwagon with 17"s (a pretty ballsy car for a wagon) so I need to get a decent performance tire. I guess I can't go wrong with either brand.
