This is a better picture of the ihterior with all the changes... I'll do something about the side panel next month ($$$)... This shows the tach gone, instead using the PlasmaGlo heads up display, which is not working good, but that may be setup.
The cameras work fine at the center panel, but if anyone is considering doing it, use 4" screens.... the installer represented 4", but used 2-1/2" instead... marginally OK.
Also shown is the camera built into the gill... 19 degree view angle from centerline is just about right.... by the way the gills make a considerable amount of wind noise... oh well... shoulda thought of that...

I read an article recently that said head up displays have a tendency to display double images on today's windshields because of the multi-layer construction. Some car manufacturer was combatting this through a special prismatic glass (I think it was Citroen).
Are you sure the wind noise comes from the gills and not the A pillars? The GTS models had a seal between A pillar trim and windshield that eliminated a lot of the wind noise in this area.
Can't wait to see what you're going to do with the door panels!

Another thought would be a wood steering wheel (partial of course) that matches the other wood. Along with Nicoles suggestion it should look really nice. If you want to go as far as making your own wood kit, I vote for Ziricote with the landscape grain pattern, warm tones with black streaks. NIce job on everything.

Nicole... your right... there is a large gap compared to my 82, and I'll bet with all the work, the seal that was there is gone!
Here is the new plan... totally eliminate the door handles and bolts, go with straight aluminum (will not be able to match perfectly the wood)... create an emergency pull inside the door side pocket... solves many problems in the design and creates the simple look!

After looking at your interior again, I think that more of wood would look good. Maybe a piece on the camera monitor addition. The piece that surrounds the center monitor screens. It would look good with the piece below around the air vents on the console.
