I like it...

I remember a guy who chromed his entire CJ-7 years ago; axle tubes, trans/diff cases, body tub, ...everything. He told me he had over $110,000 in it. He was afraid to drive it due to scratching the finish.

Maybe it's illegal for a car manufacturer to produce one like this, but I bet it's not illegal for the owner to pain it. I've seen transport trucks with stainless steel tanker trailers that were shiny as this 928. They are legal, so why wouldn't this be?

They might have wanted to stop short of painting the rear bumperettes...Not too sure about the durability there, but then again they claim they can use this stuff on SHOES...talk about a color change!

Motorcycle gas tank on their web site got me thinking......

It looks like they're masked off and the paint is shiny enough to hide it.

There is a well known M3 done in that paint and an amg mercedes. The wheels need to be chrome, the hood shut, and the windows tinted. The front is too high also. If those things were done and it photographed in a better place it would probablt look cool.

Nice find though.

The finish on that thing looks to be pretty well done. Talk about needing polarized sunglasses!

There's a guy here in town who just started a chrome business. I don't know if he plates, paints, or what (I don't really know much about the chroming process), but he says the technology and equipment he's buying will allow him to chrome anything. He's got a street-bike that he's going to use for his test mule and chrome in entirety. I'm anxious to see how it turns out. If pictureworthy, I'll post.

Interesting and maybe OK for some, but not for me!
