Someone might get a great deal.

I certainly have no regrets.

Hey Bill,

Believe me, it's the same ad. I'm biting my lip to keep me from saying more...

Well, that helps me. I shouldn't be looking at it anyways, and now with doubt about it's authenticity, I can forget about it.

OK, well, if Drewster gets no response in a couple of days and does not get to see the parts firsthand, then put this one in the scam column. Besides, private auctions are always suspect to me.

Default BUYER BEWARE - IMO FRAUD Attempt

I call some serious Bull****!

Email I recieved this morning.

_______________________________________________________________

Hi,

Right now i am located at one of my bussiness address in London, England and the item is here with me. I'll do the shipping
from here. The price that i want for it is $4000 US with shipping included.

Here is how I will go about delivery and payment for the item which will be through TNT and will also give you the chance to inspect the item before I receive the payment for it.
I will explain to you step by step how this will work.
A. First you have to send me your shipping information (your name and address).
1. After I receive your shipping info, I'll go to a TNT Location and leave the item onto your name and with your address as the intended receiver.
2. TNT will check the item, also the legal papers to see that everything is ok with it.
B. You will receive a notification from TNT as a confirmation that the item is in their custody and also, that the item has been checked.
1. After that, you will have to make a money transfer via Western
Union on my name, as a guarantee, and send the payment information to TNT.
2. TNT will verify the Money Transfer, and if everything is in order, they will deliver the item to your door step.
3. After you will receive the item and you will be completely satisfied with it, you will instruct TNT to release the payment information to me, so I can collect my money.
C. The item will be shiped with a return policy for 7 days, days in what you can inspect it. If by any reason, you will not be satisfied with the item, if the item will not be as you expected to be, or you will not be happy with the purchase, you can return the item to TNT with no expenses. I am sure that this won`t happend since the condition of the item is very good, but this is a guarantee from my part for you.

So that is the policy regarding our deal. If you think this is not a safe and secure deal, i can contact ebay to insure our transaction at them. In this way ebay will send you an invoice where they will confirm:
-that i'm a honest seller
-that my registration informations were verificated
-that ebay allow the buyer to close the deal with my terms
-that ebay will be responsable for all negative consequences in our transaction/this because the transaction will be insured

The transaction will be covered by ebay, we will transact through ebay and if you agree to purchase it ebay will contact you to confirm you the safety of the transaction. This is like a warranty from my part for you so you don't have reasons to worry about.I did wrote you this e-mail because all the buyers that i have for moment asked me what warranty i can offer them ,because i'm at begining.

Let me know if you can purchase it for my price

Wonderful. TNT is NOT an escrow service and this is a known scam. Even if TNT LOOKED like an escrow service, there are a ton of fake escrow services used by eBay scammer. So, I would never use one, unless possibly I had checked it out thoroughly. It takes 10 seconds to check it out. You can do a Google for TNT scam and read all about it.

It's too bad people still get taken by these scams and the infamous Nigerian scams.

Also, Western Union is required to tell you not to use their service to send money to pay for auctions, but they do not do a very good job of it.

This is why I never bid on "private" auctions.

Bill is so right.

Always stay clear of private auctions!

With the exception of pornography of course.
