Hi everyone. I'm a recent new member that has already found invaluable information on this site. Now I just need to go apply it. No doubt I'll be asking for advice very soon. Currently have 3 Porshes, 4 if you count the parts car. 1980 928 5sp parts car, 1981 928 5sp, 1987 928S4 Auto, and 1991 944S2 Cabriolet.
Does anyone ever get together to work on cars? Helping someone knowledgeable work on their car, or your car is a very good way to learn. Would be nice to have some informal working sessions, maybe combined with a drive? I would definitely volunteer shop space. I'm in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
We have a VERY active DIY group in Hurst,Arlington, Flower Mound, Fort Worth and other places. If you'd like to participate you'd be welcome. Call Roger (Rog100).
Welcome! You meet the nicest people to the 928borhood. Most of us Rennlisters in the DFW area have some experience with the most common 928 repairs (TB/WP, motor mounts, door locks, etc) and we've been known to flock wherever someone is buying coffee or beer. Pick a date, a project, a place and send an invite via Rennlist and the response will please you. Here's a pic taken at a gathering in Arlington, TX in 2004.

Did your Moss Green '81 come from Iowa? If so, i know that car. If infact it is the car i am thinking of, it was previously owned by rennlister David Cmelik.
