Here's why I had a giant coolant leak....What can I do?

So... I have to replace the end tank if I remove it?

No, just remove it, but don't break it If you cn do that, you don't need to replace it .... lol. But then you may need to sacrifice the rad to get the end tank off intact

You only get one shot, so replace the tank.
