Default Transmission oil additive

Good day all,

I am curious about the pros and cons with respect to the various transmission oil additives - particularly with the Lucas one. I did a search and didn't turn up much. I don't presently have any major issues (other than a slight weeping from the front -I assume is that front seal), but a friend was extolling the 'protective features' of this stuff. I'm not convinced.

Anyhow, any pros or cons with this stuff?

Thanks in advance,

Greg

K & W Trans -X. Best stuff I've ever seen or used. Works miracles.

Thanks Hammer,

I have yet to run across that K&W stuff. Is that available most places??

Thanks,

Greg

Hey Greg:

I've read a lot about Valvoline's Stop Leak ATF and have seen some very positive comments. I also have a front pump seal leak, and thought that it would be worth a try. Here's a link to Valvoline's website for this product. Also would like to try this in the power steering system, which is also leaking a few drips here and there.

Has anyone had any experience with either of these products?

Not a 928, but could apply...

I went through about 4 bottles of the lucas power-steering stop-leak, as well as valvoline step-leak over a period of a month. No Cigar. I didn't want to use the KW stop-leak because it wasn't "thick" like the lucas stuff. I gave it a try anyways and the PS rack stopped leaking the day after.
