Just another question: there is a tube going from the right exoust manifold to the intake plenum, which I think is for the EGR. Can I just plug that? Or headers have the "hole" for EGR on them?
Thanks,
Klim

What are collectors on the exoust?
Thanks
P.S. I asked John if they would fit the standart exoust and he said that the collectors will need to be modified. That's what my question is realated to.

I am not as familiar with these as I should be. What is the primary diameter? Are they equal length primary? What is the collector design? Why are you selling them, are you replacing them with something different?

The header in bcdavis's pic connect to the exoust under the front seats. Exoust manifold connects to the exoust in the engine bay. And I have one pie running to the rear muffler where it gets split in two. What kind of problems can I expect fitting these?(1979 M28.19 5peed). How much would be to change the exoust to "accept" the headers?
I am really interested in bying those, but can't really afford to spend more then 450$ on this project...so, headers are OK, but if I will need to get a new exoust....
Thanks a lot,
Klim

You'll just need a Y-pipe to mate the headers to your single exhaust at the connection behind the cat. I'm not at home so I can't post the pic again, but it you search my posts in the last month or so you'll find a pic of my Y-pipe from the headers. Mine is welded now, but used to bolt up (sort of) like stock. It should be fairly simple to have done at a local exhaust shop.

You are going to need to have some minor exhaust work.
Mine was bolted up to dual cats from an s4. Then merged into a single exhaust.
But you will need to have a "Y" fabricated.
It should not be too expensive. Just shop around.
Maybe buy the "Y" ahead of time, and just get it installed.

Matt, if it is not a discreet info, how much was your "Y"?
Thanks,
Klim
P.S. Couldn't find your pic in the past posts...only a pick of two pipes runing to the end of the car...

Y pipe at Summit Racing are around $40.00. Add header 3 bolt flanges for $20.00.
Exhaust shop to do the work, $100.00??
Best bet may be best to visit a local exhaust shop and ask them what it will cost to hook up a set of headers into your existing exhaust
