The aftermarket 18's were prone to failure although the factory wheels were also cast but better quality.
They are still available new from Porsche in 17" size.

I have three sets of the factory 17" Cup 2 wheels and they are great! I was hoping that there were 18's available because I like the factory look but understand that the tire selection is starting to become a challenge like the 16's from the GT's D90's.
Factory 17" Cup 2's are my favorite look on the 928.

Yeah the Cup II's look so good on there. I agree I think that's the nicest factory wheel on a 928. It's definitely a shame that no one makes an sturdy/quality 18" Cup II. I've got 17" ForgeLines and trying to get a good rear tire is becoming harder and harder.
