Default Busiest forum?

It might be my inagination, but the 928 forum appears to be the most active of all forums on Rennlist. Has anyone else noticed this? Is there some reason why? I cruise the other forums everyday, just looking. There are way more 911s (and the owners are purdy fanatical about their cars, like us), 924/944s, and 914s. So, why aren't they as active here as we are?

In my PCA circle of friends out here, the 911 types seem to mostly talk about the Pelican boards, so maybe thats where the 911 activity is focused.

My dad's a 911 guy, all he ever looks at is Pelican. When I had my 944, Pelican was the place to be, never hardly looked at Rennlist, now its the other way around with the "better" 928.

Cuz the demographic for us shark owners is:

1. We're old farts, so we got more time on our hands, so we gab more.

2. We're old farts, so we have a hard time remembering what we said yesterday and end up repeating ourselves.

3. We're old farts, so many of us do our own wrenching - and with cars that are 11-28 years old, that gives us a lot to talk about. It also gives us a lot of opportunity to say, "Oh ****! I messed up! HELP!!!"

4. Since our cars are of a (ahem) certain age, there are many guys fabricating aftermarket performance-enhancing products. They all enjoy the opportunity for calm, collegial, reasoned discussion with each other regarding the comparitive merits of their products.

5. Other P-car owners routinely bash our car, which gives us many opportunities to get our panties in a knot and lash back at their obvious cretinism.

It's not the "old" part that bothers me. Its being called a "fart" that I don't like.

Well, I am an old fart and those ladies look catchable. ;-)

(not that there's anything wrong with that; rather the contrary)

Is that your shark? I hope those heels didn't scratch the paint (headliner would be okay) :>)

I think the volume of posts shows the strength of our 928 community....there really isn't that many of us....maybe several hundred active 928ers accross the USA....but we are fanatical about our 928's!!! Sure I bought the car because its a timeless classic that still hauls ***....but the community I found is priceless!!!

I ultimately decided that buying a 928 was a good idea based on the strength of the Rennlist 928 community. Definitely the best car decision I've made to date (and I've made a few: 18 cars, including 1 motorcycle, in 19 years of having a drivers license)!

Rennlist's 928 is so strong perhaps due to the dearth of other places to be on the web. (Sorry, 928OC Forums)

Was following the lines of the 928 ^^^ and low and behold, look at those modified door panels! It has a couple nice LCD's working in there as well!

I'm not an old fart either. Just maybe a fart once in a while.
