Mel,

The animation is an animated GIF, 325KB. Right click on it, and select 'Save Picture As...'.

I think a set of spinners on the front of the cam gears would be the schizzznitt.

I delivered the first pair of production S4> bars, yesterday.

They fit fine, but they would require a low profile jack to get under the car (GTS) easily. I thought about it all night, and today I figured out a solution.

It should fit under even very low cars, and be even more stable as the jack is even closer to the body. I need to test fit this weekend, to check that it's not too close, but I think this is the ticket!

It worked!* Now both bar designs are alpha!

New animation on first page.

Well done can't wait.

BTW I always wondered what an Amazon Green GTS looked like with red vs black calipers very cool. Are those 993TT rears or stock?

Ed,

I moved my operation home, after I made the jigs, so I've been spending some time setting up lighting and wiring 220V for my new bad-a$$ welder. I've also had to retrain how I was welding the bars, as this welder puts down a serious amount of steel in no time.

I should be able to deliver up there by next weekend, if nothing else pops up.
...

Anthony,

That color is cool, it changes depending on the surroundings. IIRC, those are 993TT calipers, there's a thread about it somewhere.

I will do a search. My car is the same color, I agree it is very cool but more blue than green. I had a set of 993TT rear brakes I was going to install and paint the big blacks red but wasn't sure how it would look. Looks pretty cool.

Good Luck with the new toy, looking forward to the lift bars, just what every 928 owner needs.

Default Glad to wait...

Ken,

I'm soooooo glad that you've redesigned and checked the lift bars for lower profile GTS use. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I'm so anxious to get my set, but am willing to wait for all your excellent designing, research, testing, etc...

Thanks again for doing this - great job!

-Joe

No problem Ken. I can see you're super busy with many things including refining the lift bars. This weekend would be great, but I can survive if this weekend doesn't happen, so no worries. Thanks. -Ed

My 'factory' is back online, and bars are flying off my welding table.*

I'm driving at least as far as Tom M's house on Sat** afternoon to drop off the paid orders for Group 1.

Coincendentally, the poll ends Sat. After that I'm raising the prices $9 to cover costs***, and all bars will be shipped, unless you can arrange to pick up.

Next week I'll be working on packaging, and shipping options.

For those of you inthe PacNW area, we are possibly planning on a late lunch/early dinner gathering in the Olympia/Tacoma...possibly up to Southcenter area......

No need to be a lift bar purchaser...just gather to hang out and talk 928 stuff.....I'll keep everyone posted as things develop...if it doesn't go..then Ken will just drop them at my place and I'll arrange with the respective owners to get their bars to them..

later,
Tom

Ken, I would like to have a set of each, but for now I'll just take a set for my 87 S4. Sending $$ via paypal. Let me know if there is additional shipping cost required. Zip Code 75452.

These are definitely going to make getting the car up and working under it easier!
