HOLY SOUND SYSTEM BATMAN I agree. The 4x4 is bad a$$. And I like the red truck as well. Did that ever sell? Didn't it belong to Mark Anderson?

I am not one to talk trash about someones taste in automobiles. I enjoy seeing them all. In my opinion, the trucks look better than the Ferry Porsche version of the 928. But I'm sure others will disagree. To each their own.

The last 3 of the chopped 928's in the first post are Danish - they were modified when NEW! (Yes, as far as I am informed, they were bought new from the factory and then chopped!) Because of a stupid tax loop hole that lets trucks in without the insane 180% tax applied to ordinary cars (So even if the cars were brand new, and the chopping wasn't exactly cheap, you'd still get the car way below original cost (Less than half if i remember correctly).

The shop that did them are the same that service my 928: http://www.porschecentrum.dk/ - they've had a couple of'em sitting in the lot for years - they're not on their website anymore though, so either they gave up or they finally sold. (They have a nice 928 racecar for sale btw. )

I saw the 4x4 in person in Denmark a few years back (I believe it's Swedish build) at som car-audio meet. It was horrible. Nothing to do with a 928 except the outer shell (which was pretty messed up), the interior was much worse than the pictures above can tell.

BTW: Before someone bites me head of: By "Horrible" I mean it appeared to be a real lousy job made exclusively to promote the audio components, with little care to the car itself. I may be wrong, and I'm not a professional car chopper, but the car looked really messed up - I doubt if it could even drive off the lot on its own accord when I saw it.

Ditto.

I'd like to blow by some of the Z-71 guys around here in something at or near the same height. Theirs are loud, but the 4WD 928 shown here should be able back it up.

It's not a 4WD 928 - it's a 4WD Jeep in a "was-once-a-928" skin. It does not sound at all like a 928.
