Good to see everyone who was there Saturday, Very nice to meet Rob. Rob has a condo on the property with a 6 car garage (that would actually garage 8 cars). Rob was nice enough to invite us over for a adult beverage and to sit out on the balcony and watch Art making his last run of the day on Saturday. I didn't go Sunday, but I'll bet they a great time Sunday as well. I think Ed took some pics of Rob's place. Maybe he'll post them.

I wanted to be there, but i felt compelled to help Roger with removing the engine out of his 84.....We did get side tracked a bit. I thought it would be fun to watch a flex plate stab it self to Rogers forehead.........

Ever seen a flex plate as a lethal weapon?

Nice meeting you guys, I'm glad a few folks were able to make it out on Saturday. Also, congrats to Ernie and Ed who each graduated to the Yellow run group.

If anyone wants to come back out this coming weekend, I am going to try and set up an appointment for the Dyno runs around 10am on Saturday. Let me know by Wednesday morning so I know how many to expect. I would expect 3-4 pulls to cost no more than $60 or so, depending on how many people we get I may be able to negotiate a discount. Burgers on the grill back at the Villa for lunch and then out on the track in the afternoon. Since its a member day, I can take guests out for rides.

Hey Rob,
I'm committed to spending Saturday with my son, otherwise I'd jump at the chance.
I'd highly recommend that anyone who wants to see what it's like to live the amateur motorsports dream should take Rob up on his offer. He's a gracious host, a genuinely nice guy, and enjoys sharing.

MotorSport Ranch. We can meet at the Villa around 9:30am for coffee and I'll direct everyone over to the correct garage. The dyno is at one of the shops there. My house is the one with the red roof. Just look left when you are standing at the clubouse when you are facing the track, you can't miss it. There is a private road that will take you to my driveway.

Here are some pics of Rob's shrine, pics don't do it justice. Rob, I'm probably going to have to pass on this weekend, I'm travelling most all of this week, and I've not even unpacked the car much less cleaned it from last weekend. Thanks again for having us over for beers.

Default Dyno Day Update - This Saturday!

If anyone is still interested, I confirmed with the shop and they are ready for us. I told them we'd be there at 10am and have about 3 or 4 cars. I am sure if some folks show up that did not confirm they can fit you in. All I ask is that I make my runs first. With an air cooled car I want to get mine done before it gets too hot outside. The lack of air flow on a stationary dyno is not a good thing for my car.

Let's meet at the Villa around 9:15am. I'll have coffee and donuts ready and then we can make our way over to the dyno. The garage with the dyno is all the way in the back behind Texas Autosports, in case you show up late.

Jim M and I are going to try and make it on Saturday morning - about a 90% chance of being there.
I would like my car on the dyno please - Jim does not.
Might not be at 9:30 but shortly after.
Looking forward to it.
Roger

Sounds great. I just called the shop and told them to expect a few more cars.
